Sweet and practical, this new silhouette for babies and little girls is A-line and a little bit longer than a standard cardigan. It looks adorable worn over a smock or dress. The cleverly designed headband uses up the leftover yarn from the contrast trim at the hem and cuff edges. Sizes range from 3 months to 4 years old.

    NEEDLES AND EXTRAS

    • 1 pair each 4mm (US 6, UK 8) and 3.25mm (US 3, UK 10) knitting needles and a 4mm circularknitting needle (60cm or 24" long) or size needed to give correct tension.
    • cable needle and 3 buttons.
    • wool needle for sewing seams.

    TENSION

    22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm or 4" over stocking st, using 4mm needles.
